| A Royal Wedding |

As some of you probably already know, this saturday the Crownprincess of Sweden, Victoria, got married to a man of the people, Daniel Westling.
I watched the ceremony on tv and I must admit....watching them look at each other while hearing the soppy but beautiful song written especially for the wedding, "When you tell the world you're mine", I teared up a bit. But reading Prince Daniel's speach today in the newspaper (I did not watch the reception on tv) made me acctually shed a tear...so beautiful and affectionate.
I acctually like the monarchy and I hope we will keep it during my lifetime....it's like a living piece of history. Maybe with a bit more control over what they do with their money, but that's all.
I thought the dress was a bit plain, but pretty anyway. The crown/diadem/tiara she wore I don't particularily like, but it has interesting history and it is the same one her mother, the queen, wore when she got married to the king (the veil too).

Finally, after weeks of cloudy and cold weather we had some actual heat and sunshine. It turned cloudy and rainy in a few hours, but before that Frida and I managed a little outing to a neighbouring town (which should be called a village acctually, it's so small) where we had some cake and enjoyed the blooming flowers and trees in a little park by the trainstation. Our original plan was to walk to a botanical garden a couple of kilometers away, but we got stuck with Frida's baggage (she had been visiting me for the weekend and planned on going home after our outing) because apparently they have no storage lockers big enough for a suitcase in the entire town (*shakes fists*) so we couldn't. But we had a pretty good time anyway....

| Happy Valentines! |

I don't particularily like Valentines Day...
I don't like the idea of "concentrating" romance into one day when the most truly romantic things are those done in everyday life without feel the need to show off.
But, I hope you have a nice Valentine's Day anyway...
I hope you get to enjoy it just the way you want it ^^ |
